Looking for a gallery site

I'm looking for a new place to post my work. I need someplace with a fairly open TOS cause i am looking to post my more hard core edgier stuff. Lets face it, 90% of my work would violate the TOS of 90% of the sites out there. So I am looking a place where i can post that stuff. Hoping to find a place that is friendly to my work, if i can. i may have to just start my own site. Any ideas?

probably a good idea to PM me if you have a link, chances are even posting a link in here is a TOS violation.

i've never really cared for Dev Arts site design honestly

and i'm really not sure what all they would allow. Lets put it this way, if you are familiar with my work, you are familiar with the tame stuff. I am really looking for a place where I can freely post my really extreme hard core stuff

Ambient Dimension accepts adult content and has a good tag-based filtering system. For that reason I obviously can't link to them, but if you google the name they're the first result.

I know render - otica allows adult 3D artwork. There are two other sites that I know but they focus on cartoon animal type characters, not humans. I took a look at Ambient Dimension's website. All the artwork that I saw are fairly tame.

had a look, the stuff there looks too tame. kinda looking for a place with other people doing stuff similar to what i do. Put it like this, if it had a ratings system, i want to post my stuff thats rated 5 to 6 on the barf bucket scale of 1 to 6

You can't see the mature content pics if you're not registered and logged in.

No comment on the barf bucket scale. I'm not into that so I don't know where it's found.

I think the adult content filter for Ambient Dimension is on for guests/visitors. I would take another look but I am so sleepy. later.

ah, i see what you want. I thought you were looking for places to upload artistic nude renders. Sorry, I can't help you with websites for violent, bloody or gory artwork. Good luck in your search.

its kind of weird that i can't show most of my work here, i mean all the body parts you aren't allowed to show on here are usually ripped off of the figures in my art :D

    Y!Gallery

    They have a gore category.
Although their main focus lies towards male and gay content, they also accept other stuff.
There is some pretty hardcore stuff over there so be warned :)

If you decide to go with your own site, read the Hosting EULA very carefully, as most of them also do not allow what you want to post either....even if you are paying them a hosting fee....

Ok i'm going to try and clear a few things up because i have gotten some PMs about impressions people are getting about myself and my work based on things said in this thread.

    1) I can't show my work here, so all i can do is try to describe it to the best of my abilities, unfortunately i think that is causeing people to get the wrong impression of what it is i do.

    2) While my work does often contain partial or full nudity, I do not consider my work porn or erotica in any way. If you are looking at my work and thinking hubba hubba, you have more issues than I do.

    3) My work is shocking, its extreme, its very graphic and violent and full of blood guts and gore, but this is not stuff i fantasize about doing. Where my dark muse really comes from is a metaphorical representation of emotions. Everyone at some point has been in an emotional state where they felt like their own emotions were ripping them apart from the inside... I take that feeling and represent it graphically in my art. If you met me in real life, i'm a fairly down to earth well rounded reasonable rational person, i am not a violent person, I try very hard not to do any harm to anyone in any way. I try to be very kind, gentle and helpful to people. My art is my way of purging my demons, I puke all this stuff out of me into an image and then i feel better and can go on being a reasonable nice guy. If my work is so sick and twisted, why do I want to show it to others? Quite honestly because over the years, those who have seen my more extreme pieces tell me how much it helped them. I get messages and emails all the time from fans of my work. They say things like a certain piece i did really captured how they felt when their wife died, or someone will say, that is exactly how I felt when I was with my ex husband. And they tell me how much my art helps them.

But yeah, basically my work is a metaphor for extreme emotional states, things we all feel or have felt at some time. Imagine a time when you were the most angry you have ever been, remember what that felt like, imagine when you were the most scared, or the most depressed, or what ever, then imagine what that emotion might look like if it were a physical thing that you could see in front of you. And it doesn't even have to be a negative emotion. Some times being in love can make you feel torn apart or consumed. Or you might feel so happy you are going to burst. So thats my muse, thats where my dark creepy sick twisted art comes from.

And thats not the only type of art I do either. I have a range of styles and genres i work in, some times i am doing cute fluffy bunnies, some times i am doing sick demon zombie bunnies, i run the full range.

I've had my work spread out over the internet for a few years now, what I am really looking for is to get it all gathered up into one central location so that anyone who wants to find my work can go there to see it.

So I hope that clears things up a little so ya all don't think I'm some dangerous psycho killer or something, I know my work is extreme and shocking and not what everyone wants to see, but there are people who get my work and do want to see it. I'm just looking for a good place for it.

I think most people are fine with cathartic gore. It's the implication of gore as erotica, which is easy to get accidentally from your earlier posts, that is bothersome. Thanks for clarifying that. I certainly feel better about it now, and I'm sure I won't be the only one.

yeah its kind of my fault, i often describe my work as hardcore and edgy, not thinking that those words usually lead most people mind's to porn

In some communities, "hardcore" is a word used specifically by people who enjoy porn that involves non-consensual sexual victimization. This is above and beyond its retro or original use to mean "porn that reveals genitalia or depicts sex acts," as opposed to "softcore" which is "porn that shows scanty outfits and provocative poses." In future I would avoid that one and instead use "violently gory" or "gibtastic" or basically anything else. ;)

I don't know if "hard core" is so exclusivly related to porn.....I have heard it used even for things like snowboarding and extreme sports.

    But back on topic.....

yeah around here people use harcore for everything, it just means like really extreme. "that pizza was harcore man" or they call them selves "hardcore gamers", so when I hear it i don't immediately jump to porn

From my point of view, there is nothing wrong with sexuality or exploring boundaries in that with art.
Or to use it as an artform itself.
I'd hate to miss all those lovely images and statues made by the Roman and Greek, which is full of nudity and erotic undertones (and sometimes even very blatant! :)

Anyways, I can imagine you not being drawn in with DA.
I find their site a mess to work with myself.
If you find any site that is useful, I'd love to hear about it too.

You know its kind of ironic, my work has actually been displayed in public art museums where they had tours of school children visiting on field trips ( granted they were not there to view my work, but there was nothing stopping them from seeing it ) but its too extreme for the internet.

It can be ironic at times, yeah...
A schoolfriend once had an art expo in a library.
Her work was far from hardcore, but it could be a bit melancholic at times with people standing in a shadow or in a dark street.
The library removed her work because there had been some older ladies that thought her work was too sad and would be bad for children...
Keeping in mind, that before internet excisted, me and my sister would go to the library to look for books with deformities or animals on formaldehyde,
Every kid goed through that phase, it's natural curiousity.
And we turned out just fine ;)

Well Renderotica has galleries for non porn type stuff, and believe me your stuff would fit in there fine. I have seen some pretty extreme stuff there and other places so I don't see how your stuff could be that much worse.

This is getting frustrating, my work is not porn or erotica, i really don't want to post it on a porn site, but so far the only option seems to be "yeah well they kind of sort of have a spot for that stuff at the porn shop, over there in the back by the bathroom". Thats not what i am looking for at all. I am looking for a place where other artists doing the same sort of things that i do can display their work. I'm starting to feel like there is no place for me on the internet.
