Request for guidance on how to create characters and 3D backdrop for visual game

Hi,

I'm new to Daz3D and 3d modeling software. This may seems like a lazy question or even a noob question. I hope it doesn't cost too much embarrasment to myself and trouble to everyone here.. I am an illustrator, and I mainly create in 2D, right now I wanted to learn how to create some humans and backdrop in 3D modeling for a visual game, however, after I downloaded Daz studio, I don't seems to see anywhere that allows me to recreate a human being on my own, not to even say a 3D backdrop.

Am I missing something? Do I need to purchase tress etc to create a backdrop? Do I need to purchase a skeleton with flesh, before I can twig it on my own? I have tried looking through Daz3D documentation links and also the tutorial page, I don't seems to see any that can answer my queries.

I would like to create characters such as below:

Appreciate anyone's helpful guidance and again, my apology if this is not the way to ask my question.

Daz Studio is not a modeling app, it is mainly used for posing, rendering and animation. To create your own 3D objects you will need a modeling app, like Hexagon, Blender, Maya, etc

If you want to create characters for use in a 2D game project, then just use the genesis characters made for Daz Studio and morph them into what you want with the various morph packages sold in the store. If you are trying to make a 3D game, then you will need to purchase additional interactive licenses for each peice of content you plan to use in the game.

The base humans are included, as are soem clothes and scenery. There are additional free tutorial bundles in the store which will give more clothing and settings. Remember that DS is a staging application, using content made in other applications (modellers, image editors, and so on) - Daz certainly hopes you will buy content from the store (that's what pays for the development) but there are freebies in the forum of that name, and you can make/modify content yourself - with the exception of HD moprhs all the needed import and set-up tools are included as part of the application

Thanks for the detail explanation! Looking forward to exploring those that you mentioned!

Thank you for clarifying, I will certainly hope to find those "modellers, image editors, and so on" which I can add to my project.
