I got an email this morning stating that Dreamlight items were on sale for 75% off. But that doesn't seem to be the case in the store?

Yeah, I got the e-mail (twice) this morning, but I believe the sale ended yesterday. The e-mail came from Dreamlight, though, not from DAZ 3D.

Well something needs to be fixed then, because I received no official notice from DAZ about this sale. And then receive these emails that say the sale is on, only to find out that I missed the sale.

In other words, don't advertise something that is not true.

Opened a Sales Support ticket about it, but I don't anticipate a reply before the end of the day.

The last Sales Support ticket I opened was on Oct. 31st and that still hasn't been answered.

Well, that's odd because the sale already ended ><<br /> Just checked my mail and I haven't gotten one about this sale at all.

The email I received is below. Only items I have removed is my personal email address.

Granted, the email came from the vendor and was not an "official" DAZ email, but still. I never received a DAZ email announcement of this sale and this was the first I knew of it.

If anyone should know when a sale starts and ends, the vendor sponsoring the sale should. This is just irresponsible regardless of who is at fault or how it happened.

If I walked into a brick and mortar store with a sale postcard in my hand, they would be hard pressed to refuse it. They can't really argue that the postcard was sent after the sale ended because I believe that would be called a bait and switch, yes?

Anyway, here is the email I received:

Friday, Nov 15 at 3:23 AM
    From: "Dreamlight"
Subject: Historical: Soon 150 DAZ Items (UpTo 75% OFF!)

    Dreamlight celebrates "soon-to-be-reached" 150 DAZ 3D products.

Since 2006 we've been producing high quality props, plug ins,

    ...now...

    ...for the FIRST time ever...

I got the email yesterday UK time and the sale was still on. I think it must depend on how long the email takes to reach you. The sale had been going for at least a day or so by time I got the email. It was highlighted in the rotating banner in the store which you can see above new releases, fast grab etc. It may have been taken off early or possibly until the mega coupons no longer work.

If the sale was so time sensitive that it expired four hours after the email was sent, then the email should never have been sent.

Most of the time the rotating banners don't come up on my browser. Just the first item in the banner and that's it.

    EDITED TO ADD:

Did a search through my email. Received 13+ emails from Dreamlight in the past week. (I say plus, because I probably already deleted last weekend's emails. And I honestly expected it to be more like 20 or 25 emails in the past week.)

The first email I received referring to this sale was 11/14 at 4:19 PM. This morning was the first chance I had to look.

DAZ 3D is of course not responsible for emails sent out by vendors in this way. I suggest that you contact Dreamlight directly, rather than sending tickets to DAZ 3D support, who will not be able to help you.

I already sent an email to Dreamlight as well.

I am just annoyed that this $%@%$ website still doesn't list something so fundamental as a start and end date for sales. And that I have another #*$&@$ support ticket that has been sitting languishing for 15 days now.

yes, this is true...Dreamlight's store did have a 75% sale on items yesterday. I picked up an item that I had been wanting at 75% discount.

The store was on sale from 13th in the evening. To be fair to the vendor he might not have noticed that the store had gone on sale. When he did the he sent round the email, the store was on sale for several hours after you received the message.

It won't help you with this sale but you might want to watch the flash sales thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/21605/P510

I imagine eventually someone from Dreamlight will notice this thread. So for those eyes I want to say...

You send me at least three useless emails a day. Links to news stories that I don't care about. Notifications for sales on items I've already purchased. But you are unable to send sale notices in a reasonable time frame... So I am now unsubscribed from your useless mailing list.

For those at DAZ, should they bother to read... How about answering the occasional support ticket? I am sick of waiting 2+ weeks of silence before getting an absolutely useless reply.

AFAIR (not sure) there was an ad on the slideshow on the New Releases page.

If you're using Windows you can get notified about new ads with this tool:
