Fast way to reconnect to Connect data?

Okay, to explain

Previously, I had my Daz Studio install and all content (as best I could anyway, I know some data has to go on C:) set up to install on my G: Drive.  Everything was going fine.  And then my C: Drive crashed in November.  The G drive, however, was fine.

Fastforward to today - I have a brand new computer with a brand new C: drive.  My husband installed my old G: drive now as my D: drive.  I knew I'd have to re-install Daz Studio, and I was hoping once I set up the directories apropriately, it would see the old Connect data and I'd be good to go.

Except I can't figure out how to get it to see the old connect data.  I've tried reimporting the metadata, but while that did bring back my old categories, it didn't see that the items were already installed.  I have connect data pointed at the correct directory.  I've tried restarting Daz Studio.  I'm just hoping that there is something less tedious (and bandwidth consuming) than reinstalling everything.

If you don't have the old database backed up I don't think you can just hook it up (it might be possible via a script, scanning the /data/cloud/ folder and adding each SKU it found, but I don't know if the requisite database fields are accessible). In theory if you you reinstall it will check each file it finds in the /data/cloud/ folder against the server and not redownload if they match, but I have had mixed luck theer and so have others.
