How to create a First Person look with a camera in DS?

I am not sure if title is clear or not, but I want to basically make a scene as though the viewer was the character, able to see the arms and chest and legs of the character like their own. I have played with frame widths, only to achieve that faraway fisheye effect that I don't want. Dimensions don't seem to do anything. I'm hoping to achieve a similar feel to one of the FPS games where you can see your character a bit.
Does anyone know how to achieve this? Thank you

Position a camera at the figures head about eye level and parent it to the Head, then when looking through the camera move the figures head/ neck.
The focal length for a camera lens nearest to the human eye is 43mm.
Thanks ^^ helped gain a bit more natural a look.
Sorry Scorpio, I figured I'd already implied that the camera was located in the head. Just hoping to see more of overall view than the camera is capable of. I've read that the human brain inserts the environment around the direct focal point by filling in the gaps, while this is great for us, it's problematic when attempting to recreate the effect digitally.
