HELP!

I'm trying to do something but the window with the parametres I need won't fit on the screen and I can only resize it horizontally, not vertically!!! How do I get at the buttons and sliders I need that run off the bottom of the screen?

My resolution is 1366 x 768. This should be a high enough resolution to use the software as it always worked fine in previous versions.

Seriously DAZ, they've had these things since 1995 called SCROLL BARS!

    Seconded!

My pain is even worse than yours since I'm still an old fashioned user (or so I assume) who's using 1024x768 and still remembers the day that he bought the 17" TFT he's sitting after ("I've carried 17" CRT's around, isn't it amazing how light such a monitor has become?").

Alas, enough of the semantics ;)

But yeah, I've had the same issues ever since I discovered the 'Render editor' (control-shift-e on my customized setup, otherwise you need to select the Render menu and click "Render editor"). Same problem; a lot of options fell outside my screen and were hardly usable.

However, one of the latest update(s) seem to have changed this behaviour a bit because now I got all the options fully visible whenever I set the dialog to be displayed maximized.

Now, I've tried to reproduce you problem but I can't find that particular option. And well, I'm not experienced with Daz yet to recognize the option you're using, so I don't know if this trick may help you. However, when that render editor window always ran out of control and showed most of its options off screen I've always used Win-cursor_up to tell the window to maximize itself. So you press the 'windows button' and then press cursor-up.

Another option, for example when you don't have a windows button, is to press alt-space. This will bring up the dialog context menu, which will also allow you to maximize it.

As said I'm not sure if this helps you, as said; for a long time most options in the render editor also used to drop off screen, but it might help.

And yeah; they should be using scrollbars!

There is no maximize ability with the ERC property editor

The only think I can do is switch my monitor into portrait mode then switch it back which is a real pain in the ass. Seriously DAZ, what gives? This function clearly worked fine in previous version of your software because I did it once before to create poses for my big eye anime morph.

I've submitted a bug report. This is clearly an UNACCEPTABLE design flaw. There appears to be no other work around for it.

Okay I decided to see just what the resolution of this window is by doing a screen capture in portrait more. Basically it looks like DAZ has decided if you have a monitor with a vertical resolution of LESS THAN 956 you can't use their software.

If this isn't simply an oversight why the heck would they make that a minimum resolution requirement for the software. It makes no sense to have a resolution requirement that high when a lot of people use the software on laptops and most laptops have a vertical resolution of 768.

Can you just dock the window? Then you should have scroll bars.
