Rigging is what turns a static lump of polygons into a posable figure
Has anyone here got a simple tutorial that I could look at????
Sorry Trish, I was a bit unkind.
There is one, I just need to remember what it is called and where it hangs out.
I have to admit it all might as well be written in goobledygook as far as I am concerned. I buy ready rigged figures, like the DAZ 3D ones and save myself the aggro.
Rigging is the process of taking a new figure that you have modelled and adding the stuff that makes it work as a poseable figure.
Heck I can't even model much more that a straight box, and I think even that would probably have sides out of true, so would never even think of trying to make a complete figure and then get it to pose. I leave that to those who know and just use their figures like Michael and Vicky and so forth.
edited to add, I found this, will it do for a start
