Garage Iray?

I would like to find out if this environment is Iray before I purchase.

It does not list Iray on the product and that's what I've been going by to tell if something is possibly not Iray.

I know that not all Iray products list "Iray" in the description, but is there another way to tell if something is 3Delight or Iray?

It's part of a bundle that includes Genesis 2 content. Iray was added to Daz at around the time Genesis 3 came out. There are exceptions, but as a rule of thumb anything for Genesis 2 or older is unlikely to have Iray materials.

That said, I don't see why that set shouldn't look fine in an iray render. You might need to adjust the glass, metal and lights to get the best out of the iray features, but that's simple enough to do.

Here's a render of the Garage Hideout straight out of the box and rendered in iray without making any changes to its surfaces. As you can see, it looks fine. A nice little scene, with a few useful props for kitbashing.

[ADDED: I've added a second image of the garage interior after tweaking some sufaces. I converted all the surfaces to Iray, added some grey to the base colour of all surfaces, and set the emissive properties of the light_bulb surface to white emission colour, 4200K temperature and 9000 kcd/m2.]

    Thank you chris!

    It looks great!

I had purchased a couple environments for 3Delight only, and they rendered very dim. You can hardly see them. So I was leaning toward Iray, but it looks like some 3Delight environments and props render fine in Iray, such as this garage.

So I will keep that in mind.

If they are interior scenes with built in lighting that'll be your problem - lights set up for 3delight may not do anything at all in iray. Set up some iray lighting and those other environments will probably be OK.

You can buy this product to help convert old content - https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-3delight-to-iray-converter - but I find it easy enough to do my own conversions.
