instructions for WorldBase xt please?

I am using PoserPro 14 and I have just purchased Worldbase XT lushlands, and it looks as though it should be pretty powerful, but it's frustrating that the hills are not visible in preview, so I can't gauge what the dials are actually doing.  all the promo pictures show mountainy looking mountains, but the hills come out looking more like fungal growths as default.  Also, what are the rings it speaks about on the dials?  it would have been nice if a readme had been included with a basic introduction to what parts are which and how to manipulate them.  there aren't even any tutorials available that I can find!

The whole product is basically made up of rings and discs, with a few 3D meshes thrown in (okay, they're all 3D meshes, but the rings and discs are basically flat). The rings are cylindrical billboards for horizons and mist. They can be manipulated in-out and up-down, individually and in groups. The ground is a layer cake of several concentric discs with various bumpy morphs. They can be adjusted for height and rotated and scaled to get various looks to the terrain, mostly focused on the center. The trees are sets of billboards arranged in groups of arcs facing the center. They can be adjusted in-out, up down, random height, or hidden one group or more at a time. The hills are sets of 3D meshes in the middle to far distance, and can basically be scaled vertically (and a little laterally) or hidden completely.

I am not familiar with the Poser way, but if you can zoom out to see the whole ground plane, hide the skydome and select the individual rings, for example, you can see the effect the appropriate dials will have. This is probably one of the most confusing products I have ever toyed with, but it becomes clear once you can see what each dial does. There's just so many of them...
