I too would be in favour of bringing back the old style monthly galleries. At least when you looked through them you would be sure of seeing the cream of the crop. In addition its nice to have them separated by product used - a great way to see just what can be achieved with the various tools (and a bit of post work!). I bought Cararra way back as a result of seeing what people were posting in the Carrara monthly gallery and it inspired me to try and do the same.

I used to point people to the DAZ galleries to show them what is possible with 3D art, not any more - its too embarrassing! Daz doesn't need a general gallery as there are plenty of other sites for that - it needs a site that all showcase peoples best work using the DAZ tools and products. Unfortunately many of the outstanding images will never get seen since they will be buried behind 20 pages of mediocre and pornographic material. Please do something about this DAZ!!

In all those years I think I submitted to the old galleries maybe four times and only one image made it in. The images in those galleries were so good I found it too intimidating to participate much at all. From one extreme to the other, I guess. LOL

I've only posted one so far because my new Kindle arrived and I've been playing.

I posted 2 only to test the system cause a few members were having problems. I normally don't share

The galleries have the ability to filter by the Top images for the day, week, month etc. This is how I browse when I'm looking for higher quality stuff.

However, the main gallery allows for everyone to showcase their work. We are all at different skill levels. I think it is nice to see what everyone is doing regardless of skill level.

I think also the flood of gallery submissions has subsided some. It's to the point that you can actually keep track of new images that are uploaded. In addition we have an awesome team of Gallery Mods (or gods as I like to call them) responding to reports almost 24/7, so the issues with ToS violations remaining up for a long time should go away.

I did think about transferring my 200+ images over from my gallery on another site, but decided against it mostly, too much like hard work. Instead I made a child gallery called Oldies but goodies and am picking just a few of the best of my older images.

...I just wish it were separate from the personal galleries as again I would like to create child galleries for the best of my older works but don't want all of them to appear in the main public one as well.

I am not very good posing figures. I'm really good setting up scenes with no figures. I have tons of those, mainly promo renders that didn't get put with the pack

Very similar to what I am doing with my Bryce and Digital Painting work.

I was teasing you Frank. My Mother always told me to share or I was being selfish. :)
I buy most of my poses and then tweak them to suit my purposes. I'm pretty much lost if I try to start posing a figure from scratch. Thank goodness there are experts that make pose sets for those of us that suck at it. :)

I do the same. Buy all the pose pack and tweak to my liking
