Explain me please how to snap the gizmo to the object it controls?

I suspect you have moved the figure by the Hip bone, but currently have the Figure node itself selected - the hip translation has moved the model away from that. Reset any translations on the Hip and use the figure itself for placement in the scene.

The situation that Richard descriped is one possible reason the gizmo can be missplaced on figures. By selecting the object and switching to Joint Editor you can manipulate the Center and the End Point that determins the position the gizmo and the center of rotation/scale. Those Center / End points are the green and the red dots in the viewport. I've seen old poser content where those center/end points where totaly missplaced making it very hard to position the item. To fix that you can open the Tool Settings pane to read and enter numerical coordinates for them. Also after you have changed the position of the points you need to Memorize Figure Rigging found in the viewport right-click menu to make the changes permanent in the current scene. You can save the changes to the rigging you made in the scene or subset of this item, but if you go further you need to save it as Figure/Prop Asset maybe overwriting the original to have it fixed on the original content item.

Ofcourse there are easier workarounds like creating a Null or Group, parent the item in question to that and use the Null or Group as the new transformation point, also called origin point for position, rotation, scale.
