dForce & laptop with Radeon RX 570

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Hi,

 

I'm looking at buying a new laptop for work & Daz3d & I want one capable of doing dForce. I'm looking at an Alienware 17 with an AMD  Radeon RX 570  video card. Will it do the job? I can't find any info that suggest that it will or wont.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

    If you’re planning to render with Iray, be aware that it won’t use your GPU as Iray needs an Nvidia card for that.

    What kind of CPU and how much RAM does it have?

    8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H with 16GB ram but it can upgrade to 32GB. The video cad has 8GB. But if it will only use CPU, I think I'll look elswhere. Thanks, Leana

    dForce will use an AMD GPU, Iray won't.
