Genesis 2 Male Starter Essentials

I just bought Michael 6. Yay! The product page says to "install the provided Genesis 2 Male starter essentials." Provided? Where? How do I know if I have Genesis 2 starter essentials? I tried installing Michael 6 in case the starter essentials are included in the Michael 6 install, but when I open DAZ Studio, Michael doesn't show in the list with all my other characters. I seem to have trouble every time I install a new character. I go through a frustrating time of trying to figure out what I've done wrong. I usually figure it out somehow, but whenever I install a new item, I end up wanting to throw the computer across the room.

So, where are these Genesis 2 Male starter essentials? I did install the latest version of DAZ Studio 4.6. Is it, by chance, included with that?

Please help this blonde figure it out.

    Go to your account -> Product Library, find Genesis 2 Essential (they come with DS 4 Pro) and it should have Genesis 2 Male Essentials in it, install it and M6 should work after that.

    If you intend to use HD morphs of any kind or have ERC Freeze issues, latest DS (4.6.1.33) will probably be a good idea.

    I've installed the starter essentials. I still don't see Michael 6 in DAZ Studio. Every other character I have is there, but no Michael 6. I've had this problem before and somehow manage to fix it, but it stumps me every time. I've even rebooted my computer to refresh everything and no Michael 6. Michael 5 is there, but no 6.

    Starter Essentials are the actual Genesis base, and should have been installed first. Do you see the Genesis 2 Male? If so, try installing Michael 6 again now.

    I'm going to guess that you have Genesis (1) loading up when you open DAZ studio. If this is the case, your Smart Content knows Genesis is selected (which he/she is by default) and will not show anything related to Genesis 2, which includes Michael 6 and Genesis 2 Male (make sure you install the Genesis 2 Male Essentials from DIM or your Product Library, or Michael 6 won't work at all).

    Simply delete Genesis from the scene, or at the very least deselect him by clicking in an empty area of your scene. Genesis 2 Male and Female, as well as Michael 6 and any items you have for them will now show in Smart Content.
