?-Morph and Mats in same .duf file? (Solved)

Quick question--I have a morphing prop that I want to apply a morph and a material to and save as a preset. I looked at saving as a pose preset, that didn't seem like what I wanted; materials preset seems to just handle the materials.

Is there a way to do this in DS 4.6?

Thanks, I'll keep experimenting in the meantime.

To save a figure shape and a material you would use a Character Preset. It's basically a combination between a Material(s) Preset and a Shaping Preset, but saves information for the figure as is. If you saved them separately you'd have more control over what is included.

I know that many presets only work with Tri-Ax Weightmapped figures. I honestly don't know off the top of my head if a Character Preset will work on a prop or not.

Not. I get a dialog box saying I need to have a Tri-ax figure.

Try a Properties preset - that will give you tabs for pose, shape and materials. You could also try the deprecated .dsa Character preset option.

Try saving your prop as a Figure Prop Asset, so that it is a .duf file. It may work. Or as Richard said try a Properties Preset. A Properties Preset is a catch all that is pretty robust. You can pretty much save information for any property with a Properties preset. They are pretty great.

Agree on the saving as a Figure Prop asset first and then use the Property Preset to make your presets to apply both mats and morphs

Yep, I tried that on my own while waiting for a reply, that seems to do the trick. Thanks Jared and Richard for your suggestions.
