Viewport Question

From time to time I inadvertantly cause the viewport to suddenly become small (I did it twice, tonight, I'm not even sure what caused it, I must have clicked on something.), but when I resize it, it does synchronize with the tab window (that has Smart Content, Content Library, Scene, Surfaces, ect...).

What I mean, is, that after I resize it, if I close the tabs window (screen), viewport no longer stretches to full length, nor does it stretch back to its previous size when I open the Tabs window, as it did before.(even after I close the Viewport, and reopen a new one.)

My question is: When it does this, how can I reset the Viewport to respond as it did before this happened?

(Two tabs- Loading/Creating and Building/Scripting- have already been affected by this, and their Viewports no longer work as they did before.)

I unfortunately don't know the answer for this specific problem but when you've got it back again you can save your working layout via Window - Workspace - Save Layout As. I find this handy for quickly restoring my setup when I inevitably screw something up.

Actually if you're not using a customized layout you can quickly restore a default layout via Window - Workspace - Select Layout.

You can also drag it by the top bar until you see a line of highlight colour across the top of the empty space, then drop. Window>Workspace>Lock Docking/Undocking will stop this from happening in future (though ti will also stop you from docking new panes).

You currently have a "floating" undocked Viewport window. Like Richard saied to dock it back into the UI you need to grab it by the top window border not the pane caption. By doing this you will see the mouse cursor changes to a cross with arrows and you will see a highlighted line where the pane can be docked.
