Does Grouping Items Add to Processing Time?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I have been working on some complex scenes with many characters and items. To help keep things in order, I have been grouping  similar things together. But then when I alter things in fine-tuning, it SEEMS like the processing takes far longer whent the items are in a group. My computer is also lagging because the memory is nearly used up. Does anyone know if groupings add to the problem?

    Rob suggests that you could try using the current Public build.

    Thank you for the suggestion, but that is what I am using ... at least on my main computer (not the laptop).
