no.. I will not use M6 at all.
I will use a bit of V6 and Dawn ..

but v4 and m4 give us all we want in Poser
and there are still many many products coming for them to the stores.

The only thing I am thinking of is "Swole" for M6, but only to use it with V6.
Other than that it will not enter my PC

Maybe saying "goodbye" is an overstatement. I'm not saying that I'll stop using them entirely. I'm just saying that I'm probably not going to buy anything else that's V4 and M4 specific.

I have too much unused content that I've purchased to not use them. (Especially with all the PA Festival and the PC Anniversary stuff. I have enough to last me a long time). They are great looking characters. It's just forward going, I'm going to shop for M6 and V6.

I stopped buying M4/V4 stuff for quite a while, but I do NOT stop buying things for Genesis! Most Genesis clothes (and hair) work excellently with G2F/V6 and G2M/M6 - even shoes.

For the OP, remember, you can still use a lot of your Gen 4 library on Genesis 2 if you get Mallenlane and Slosh's clones. In a lot of cases it actually fits /better/ to them than Genesis because they are gendered bases (and thus not as far away from the Gen 4 shapes to begin with). I'm all for you buying all our new stuff, don't get me wrong, but you can have a truly tremendous and versatile library if you take into account all of your options. (Dangit. All of our smiley faces look snide or smug to me now. Is it me?)

I'm definitely still a big time G1 user and I think I always will be to some extent, but ever since G2M has been out with all the male content pouring in, I've noticed that I've been using G2 significantly more (as even I expected). But the main reason why is not because of the Gen 6 stuff, but because now I can now toss my G1 morphs about each G2 figure with Transfer Utility. If used by themselves, I would probably not even bother using G2/Gen 6 unless Iconic Shapes with UV support were made (for non-Victoria/Michael characters, of course), ESPECIALLY the UV support. The only thing that's really keeping me from enjoying G2 to the fullest is my native inability to use the unjustifiably supportable toon skins for Gen 5. Yes, there's Map Transferring, but those take HOURS to convert and I'd rather not over-cook my laptop trying to send over my entire non-V5/M5 Material collection.

So, until we start seeing characters like Aiko 6, Hiro 6 and Hitomi 2 come out, or unless Girl 6 gets some more interesting characters, G1 will persistently remain my primary go-to figure.

Nope. M4 and V4 still work in Blender...

I've found that the Collada export to Blender messes up badly. Also, often, the eye balls are also positioned oddly when importing dae files into Blender. I use OBJ for actual modeling in Blender, but when I do the Blender meta-rig, I use the exported rig from the Collada file as a guide for positioning the meta-rig and V4/M4's rigs get mangled on import for some reason. I also transfer over the weight maps to the Blender's meta-rig setup to save me weight-painting time and Genesis weights are a lot better than the V4/M4 weights too. This is with the SVN/GIT version of Blender - I compile the latest updates everyday to keep track of development.

Have yet to experiment much with the G2 stuff other than to verify that they produce decent obj files and unmangled dae files and that the rig and weights export okay for my work in Blender. I think it's inevitable that I'll migrate to G2 now that both V6 and M6 are available. But I am waiting for Aiko 6, Hiro 6, Freak 6 and friends to come out, as well as more morph bundles. I do like that there are already merchant resource kits for both G2 male and female, though I would like to see something in addition to the typical bleached white skins - a caramel and a dark chocolate version would be nice too. I know I can adjust things in Surfaces, but the less things have to be adjusted, the better they look. I want to see a Dental Plan for G2 too.

Next year I'll probably end up investing more in G2. But I still have a ton of Genesis morphs that I need to get my money's worth from. It's a bummer that there is little backwards compatibility with each iteration without jumping through a lot of hoops.. But then, that just makes for more revenue.
