G2 male hairs

Will the G2M hairs work with G2F (or G1 for that matter)? I'm especially thinking of Casual Long Hair and Basic Hair from the M6 bundle.

They do work yes as well as the other way around. (G2F hairs on G2M) Same for clothes and textures.
Thanks, sounds good.
It's a bit confusing for under Compatible Figures for the two hairs it only says "Genesis 2 Male", while for the Micah hair it says "Genesis, Genesis 2 Female, Genesis 2 Male". So I thought maybe the Micah hair had some special hair fits included.
That's because that specific vendor put in all of the fits for those figures , while the others will rely on the autofit.
on another note, how hard is it to change the metadata so the G2M stuff turns up in smart content when G2F selected and vis versa? I was wonderi.g if somebody could make a script to do this?
if it were around $5 for PC members I would even pay for such a script.
as I get more content this willing to pay amount price may go up!
I dont know how to adjust the metadata either, would be good to know how!

Ah, OK. Thanks!
I have been trying to come up with a script for this myself, which I would give as a freebie if it actually worked. Unfortunately, changing metadata is done either through the Content DB Editor, or with a text editor. I haven't been able to crack the process yet, but I work on it every time I get a little chance.
Having said that, for anyone who would like to change the compatibility in the meta data using ContentDB Editor, I have a free video showing how to do that. Here is a link: Creating MetaData in DAZ Studio
Edit: A tip I just learned from another thread, if you deselect Genesis 2 from the scene tab or by clicking in the empty area of your scene, all hair and clothing in your Smart Content will be shown and available, regardless of who it is compatible with. You would then only need to drag the preset onto the character to apply the hair or clothing.
Ohhh thanks a bunch Slosh!
