Why so many updates for Pen Hair?

It seems like every week there is another update for this hair (and Crazy Locks/West Park Hair). I don't recall ever seeing problems with it in the first place. Am I missing something?

Did Pen hair originally have V6 fits?

It did when I bought it.

Pen hair was Genesis and Genesis 2 Female when I bought it. I'm not sure what has been included in each subsequent update, and I'm sure I might be exaggerating here, but it seems like Pen Hair appears in DIM Updates section nearly every week. I'm almost ready to uninstall it just because I'm tired of the updates. They mess up my organization system in DS.

Pen Hair has a short but intense history of various issues.

Issued as a prop hair instead of conforming, with two separate props for G2F and V6, which didn't make any sense.

    Apparently some Poser issues

    Apparently some metadata issues

From what I can gather, correcting some issues uncovered other issues that needed correcting, and so on and so on and so on.

I haven't used it since the project where I converted the props, so I'm not sure what's wrong and being corrected now.

The latest problem that was fixed was that the blue bow material setting for the Genesis hair changed the hair to blond and the bow to gold. It should have (and now does) only change the bow color to blue.

Both Pen Hair and Crazy Locks hair have had many problems. I think they are both pretty much fixed, finally.

Since you are a vendor, Slosh, can you give us any insight into what kind of testing is performed on products before they are released? We seem to be getting more and more Platinum Club products that just don't work right. I don't understand how these things are getting through testing that way. I've spent hours documenting and reporting problems with Pen Hair, Crazy Locks Hair, Country Dining Room, and others recently.

So, you're the one that is responsible for the constant updates on these products? LOL. I have no experience with the Platinum Club. Items for Platinum Club are submitted differently than regular store products, but I believe once submitted they go through the same testing as regular items. Again, don't take that for any official answer because I honestly don't know. Jack Tomalin and the rest of the team are working very hard to fix things that have been, shall we say "less than smooth installations" and to ensure that new items don't have such problems, but things do happen and they are very quick to try to fix them when made aware. As you can see, just by my asking in the forum rather than some PC Club hotline, that I don't have a strong answer.
