    Nice piece Jacques. I believe the woodgrain on a violin is lengthwise on the front and across on the back. My dad did woodworking as a hobby so grain dirrection is a pet peeve of mine, and a detail that artists tend to overlook.

    thanks i watched a few violin carving videos on youtube so i made sure the front, back and sides are 3 independant textures. I didnt supply a 'flame wood' texture so the users will have to create their own, i only supplied one hickory texturr so at a minimum, people will have to create a 90 degree rotated copy of it ... well i guess i could add that in an update ... later today
