In the old forums --- which link to the archives is malfunctioning...LOL

There was a wonderful tutorial by rebelmommy that told how much and how to properly edit/use a skin texture so tat when creating one of your own would be edited enough and properly to be your own.

Hope that made sense.

I lost my link when comp died so would anyone know where I could find it again or does someone have a copy of it.

TIA
Have a wonderful and SAFE Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the link. The images, though, are not showing up for me. Is there any way to recover them or is this pretty much all that got salvaged?

I can make enquiries, but I don't hold out too much hope.

Maybe someone could try asking Rebelmommy as, although this is an old tutorial, this is still a useful resource for people.

I will see if I can find it, I read in the forums at the archives when I got the page loaded that is---had to refresh to get text with no blank page. But a few years ago there was a link to a script for installing into your browser to allow the images to be seen.

I tried the right-click + copy image location but that did not work either...LOL

Yeah that's what I tried too to see the images but it didn't work. Hope you find the script, some very useful stuff can be found there.

Yes but that only works with images that are posted in the old forum. Not sure that it will work with the images that were originally with this tutorial, unfortunately.

Maybe someone from DAZ could tell us what url to use and add the image name at the end like the forums work? Unless of course they don't intend to have these pages available anymore.

    I founded it...finally

    https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/133738

Chrome users may have an error spit at them, I recovered this from a different thread...NOT the one I encountered last night when eyeballs were not working right...LOL

will continue to try looking for it cause I read that Chrome users and maybe a couple more may need to manually install it and it gave instructions.

Thiscript said it whould work for IE, FireFox (especially this browser), maybe Safari, I use Seamonkey so it should work on it too since almost everything I can find on my comp refers to it as FF...hmmph

    *****EUREKA that was quick****

Idiot that I can be I found it---when you follow the above link go to the install button on the right.....directly under is is "how to" click it to get the instructions for your browser

I agree but with permission I would gladly troll the tutorial parts and copy them ---complete with creator name for copyright and preserve them on my site. They are still needed not only for the advanced creators but especiallly for those starting out. That is why I was looking for it -- rebelmommy's -- so I could let my designers know why we make them edit their resources so much....it is good for them and us to not get in dutch with original maker.

You could possibly try contacting DAZ 3D directly, through tech support. Not sure how fast you would get a response, but it is a thought.

Or as I said contact Rebelmommy directly if it is possible. She still has a store here, but hasn't been as active on the forums as she used to be. A PM wouldn't hurt.

Yup I have written to her at RDNA and just now sent her another plea at FaceBook...lol

I also send Daz an inquiry about how to get the images to show. Thanks
