Can anyone show me how to get older clothing to work on Gen 8

Hello All,

I came across this really cool outfit that was part of that sale that was for Genesis figures a couple days ago.  It is called Bloodmage:

Plain and simple it is an awesome outfit.  I work with Genesis 8 figures though by and large and only recently have been using Genesis 3 as well since many items have items that have dual compatibility.   However, I really wanted this outift and there isn't a version for it for Gen 8 or 3.  But for $2 on a sale, I bought it anyway and tried it out.  At first the main outfit worked well on the Gen 8 figure, but then I put the back crest on and things soured from there.  I attached a photo showing what happens when you move the arms from the normal position. 

The figure on the right is Genesis 8 and the one on the left is Genesis.  Naturally it doesn't happen on the Genesis figure.   I know that Genesis 8 is SUPPOSED to be backward compatible, but I been running into this issue with Genesis 3 items. 

In a nutshell, how do I make this work on a Genesis 8 figure without having to buy one of those converter programs.

@jukingeo, I don't have that outfit, but I believe you can just parent the back crest to G8F. From the promos, it looks like parenting it to the Upper Chest, or Lower Neck will help it move with the figure, up to a point. You'll probably still have to reposition it after posing the figure. I don't know if there are any bones in the object. If so, those will help with posing the crest. If not, there should be a least one morph, twisting the cloth.
