Getting back a previous save

I just nerfed hours of work by accidently saving one scene over another...

Any way to get it back!?!?

Only if you can Undo the open scene's chnages to get back to the start state, or if your system made a back-up or history record of the file in its previous state I'm afraid. I've done that myself, and try to remember to do a File>Save As to change the name before making any modifications (try being the operative word).

I;'ve been thinking about this problem. I think, based on a rather shallow perusal of the Daz SDK, it would be possible to make a Git plugin for DS. That would allow you to save multiple versions of WIP. The problem is it looks like a lot of work that would take me away from my VN's that already consume a lot of my time away from my day job. Therefore I'd have to sell it to make it worthwhile, which runs into all sorts of issues with open source licenses but I'm sure those can be dealt with, but I've got no idea how to place a product for sale on Daz and couldn't find any information anywhere on the site.

I also wonder how many people would be interested in paying for such a product knowing up front that you'd have to learn at least some Git to make the most use of such a thing.

I'd love something like Hexagon's "Save incremental" which takes your root file (e.g. "MyScene.duf") and starts appending numbers to it....

    MyScene_001.duf
    MyScene_002.duf
    MySecne_003.duf

Incremental saves has saved my bacon several times in Hexagon when something goes wonky on me.

Look at Super Save by V3Digitimes. Assign a keyboard shortcut to Save Incremental or Save Incremental Pro and you can easily save incremental versions of your scene with _001,_002,etc.
