Beta version of Studio saves "Save As" mode only [Solved]

Whenever I click "Save", to doesn't just save the scene file. Instead, it behaves as if I had clicked "Save As",
by presenting me with a navigation window where I need to direct it to the folder where the file is, pick the file,
and then give it permission to over-write the file.

Annoying.

This is Beta version 4.11.0.366 Pro 64 public

I also have installed the 4.10.0.123 Pro 64

Could it be that the two versions make the Beta version "confused" about file ownership and permissions and associations or some such rot?

    It's the lack of an author name (entered in Edit>Preferences, Daz Studio>Preferences for the Mac) in the beta - presumably you have something entered for that in the release channel version. It's a feature to guard against overwriting asset files - Save works only if the original author matches the author name in the active application.
