There is an option to render without a 'backdrop' somwhere in the interface, if that is what you are after - it adds an alpha map to the output png I believe.
no such option
I'll be back ona computer with Reality installed in a couple of hours so will be able to give a definitive answer then, but in the meantime if anyone else has the facts at their fingertips ... :)
In the "Output" tab check the "alpha channel" box, it's right after the frame size slider.
When it comes to opening the image, the .png file generated by LuxRender will have an alpha (transparent background) providing you haven't put anything aside from the figure, accessories and lights in the scene.
Open the .png file and save as something else, in case you want to continue rendering.
If you're fairly anal like me and export the image to a Tonemapped Low Dynamic Range Image, that .png file will not have an alpha background., for some reason.
Hope this helps :)
thx worked
You're very welcome; glad to have helped :)
