Unable to delete content from OneDrive

I am trying to delete content from OneDrive to free up space for One Drive.  It might be my crappy connection but I am using the MS website to access One Drive since I am on a metered connection.  Are there any rules about deleting large files from One Drive that would make it harder to delete?
