Ever heard of or used overpainting, on renders?

    Thanks for the replies! I keep finding more and more peeps here that do some sort of overpainting in post work. would love to here from everyone about it!

    Some things just can not be rendered into the images. The image HERE was one of my early test's of a power for a hero I designed. I'm still in test faze of that work, I keep upgrading all my characters to the New figures. One day I'll catch up to G2 and before G3 comes out and start rending it again.

    Kurt Lundqvist is someone else whose work you may enjoy. If I recall, he uses David 3 as the model for most of his work. http://lundqvist.deviantart.com/. Can't find those post, probably in the far-back archives, but I think he said he renders a naked David 3, then paints in nearly everything else.

    I really like his newer stuff. kinda cool cartoon painting feel to them. all this makes me wish I could paint...
