DFormers from one object are adding themselves to nodes on another object when scene is reloaded...

Is this already a known issue?  I am finding deformers from one node on an article of clothing being added (not parented) to a another article of clothing each time I reload the scene.  To fix, I use "remove nodes" to detach the deformers from where they don't belong.

Are they the same basic item or completely different? Which version of DS is this?

    Version 4.10.0.123

Deformers from a skirt and jacket wind up influencing the hip, abdomen and chest nodes of a shirt after reload.  Does this answer your question?

Yes, so that means they are different items. Have you tried this in the Public beta, 4.11.0.380?

Nope.  I usually wait for official releases.  I can give it a try.  Is it easy to roll back to 4.10 when I am done?

You can have both the general release and the beta installed on the same system.

Using an existing scene or with a new scene set up to test it?

Using an existing scene or with a new scene set up to test it?

It was the existing scene.  Are you theorizing that it could be an issue with saving the scene?

First if you havn't already I would check the DForm pane. You've talked about using the "remove nodes" in your opening post that is found in the DForm pane.

You also have other options like saving DFormer Presets to the Content Library. Maybe test if you can save a DFormer Presets with your genesis figure selected then delete all DFormers from the scene. Then save the scene restart Daz Studio, load your scene again and finaly load the DFormer Preset again and see if that helps fixing the issue.

If not maybe also double check all the figures/clothes. In the Parameters pane you can see if the scene node that is currently selected does have a DForm group and you can tell by the ammount of DFormer Influence sliders there how may DFormers currently deform the shape. If you turn of Consolidate Properties in the Parameters pane Options Menu (the lined button on top of the pane) you get individual percentage sliders for the DFormers that are unfortunately all "labeled" the same. You can try lowering individual sliders to guess which one stands for which DFormer or you open up the Parameters Settings dialog and have a look which DFormer the slider stand for - there you can also rename the slider "label" to avoid the issues with Consolidate Properties.

The renamed DFormer slider labels can get save to a new DFormer Preset. I'm not exactly shure if all "Added Node Influence" settings will get saved in the DFormer Preset but it is worth checking. I've recently got into using DFormers more seriously and even found that you can save DFormer Presets with DFormers set to Weight-Map influence and animating DFormer values, I was impressed never thought about trying that before, can get realy handy I guess.

A possible workaround would be to bake the dformers to morphs. It's probably easier than fiddling with dformers issues. Then why daz doesn't fix it is another story ..

EDIT. Also try to follow what Richard says and setup a test scene with 4.11 because 4.11 may save information that 4.10 doesn't. But personally I'd go with baking to morphs.

It's possible it might be the data in the saved scene, yes - certainly using a new scene from the new version would be a clean test.

As luck would have it, I was able to test this in the 4.11 general release.  In short, it is still an issue, but I only see it happen when the clothing is parented to the figure.

If someone else is willing to confirm I can submit a bug report.  Here are the steps to reproduce:

    1. Fit two layers of clothing to a figure.  I used V4 with a shirt and a vest.

    2. Parent the clothing to the figure's root.

    3. Apply deformer with a drastic adjustment to the chest of the shirt and save the scene.

    4. Reload the scene, and observe if the chest of the vest is now influenced by the shirt's deformer.
