Cafe Curls Takes Forever To Render

Cafe Curls should come with a warning label.  My small renders, say 400 X 400, usually take a few minutes.  I put Cafe Curls on the only girl in the scene and my little render went to 2 hours.  If I turn off Cafe Curls back to minutes.  It is nice looking hair but this is unreasonable.  Any suggestions to cut down the render time with this item?

Use Scene Optimizer or the like to reduce the texture sizes of the hair

I have used Cafe Curls several times, even up close, rendering at 720x1080 and did not experiance any major slowness in rendering.

Scene Optimizer is a script sold in teh store here:

It takes a scene and can reduce the textures, and other things if you want, to reduce the memory footprint of the scene which makes a scene faster to render. It can also let you get a scene to fit on a graphic card when the unoptimized scene was too big for the cards VRAM. I find it very useful when doing large scenes.

Scene Optimizer is a very useful product as Kenshaw011267 pointed out, but you can get the same effect by resizing the textures manually in a paint programme (PhotoShop/Gimp, etc), which does take longer, but costs no extra money. As for me I use the Optimizer, because so many scenes are too resource intensive, otherwise.
