help with pokes through the clothes

KeithHKeithH Posts: 336

Hi -
I am struggling dealing with shirts poking through the pants and nipples poking through the shirt.
Unsure if it matters but I am using Victory 8 Pro.

You would think since I did no edits to the shirt it would not show through the pants but it does.
The nipples poke through any shirt you put on her.

Would apprecaite help fixing these items. I been on youtube and just do not understand how to fix this. Thanks

Even here - stock pose, stock robe and her fingers are inside the robe and not outside.
1> Is this normal and 2> same ask of help with understanding these pokes through clothes.

    Thanks

I would not have the nipples dialed up on a figure wearing clothes - most won't have the polygons needed to trasnfer the shape, and anyway only the lightest of clothing would show them even if they weren't relaxed.

With posing, that's always likely to need tweaking - I think QA requires parts that should touch to touch, rather than leaving a gap, but of course  most clothing needs a bit if separation. Somethimes adding a Smoothing Modifier to the clothes (Edit>Figure>Geometry>Add Smoothing Modifier) and setting the colision target to the base figure will help if there is a small gap.

A lot to learn. Thank you

If you do add a smoothing modifier to the clothing, as Richard suggested, be aware it will set the clothing item to collide with the figure. That can lead to some interesting, (odd), behavior when two surfaces of the figure come in contact with the cloth. For example, in the hand on hip pose you attached above, instead of just intersecting the cloth, the cloth would try to wrap around the hand to the extent the settings allow.

The solution is to move the hand away from the hip slighty by moving the Right Shoulder bone, until the cloth stops warping around the fingers. For the robe you're using, it may also help to Twist and Bend the hand itself. If you hide the clothing, the hand will be quite a ways from the hip, but with clothing, it will look like it's on the hip.

The other thing I use a lot is a Push Modifier.

    1. Select the piece of clothing.
    2. Edit menu -> Object -> Geometry -> Add Push Modifier
    3. Give it a name if you need to, but I usually just leave it default
    4. In the Parameters pane, you'll now have a "Mesh Offset" parameter. Dial it back from the 1.0 default to something like 0.1 or 0.2.
    5. Play a bit to get the minimum push you need to get the poke through to disappear.

At very small values, I've never had it be a noticeable issue that the mesh it technially just a litlte larger than it "should" be.

Understand what you share friend, best solution I ever used was Fit control by Zevo, every part of clothing can be adjusted, regardless of body shape yes
