It was tough to narrow it down to just 3. I hope I got this posted in time.

    Entry #: 1 Forbidden Donuts

Really liked that so much was modeled and love the lighting and use of glows. I've modeled Robby in Bryce so I know how time consuming it can be to make a good model of him with a 3D program.

    Entry #:9 Dragon V Cyclops
A very nice scene with great modeling. The modeling in it is why it gets my vote.

Again I'm a little biased since I did get to meet Ray Harryhausen and have lunch / tea with him at a sci fi convention I volunteer at as a kid, plus TCM showed a Sinbad movie recently.

    Entry #: 10 Holocene Park

I like how this looks and loved all the WIP images and posts that showed how the scene was done.

Sorry I didn't get up to officially close the thread at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. I can only count those votes received prior to the cut-off as determined by the time stamp on the forum post.

I'm sorry if you voted and I couldn't count your votes! There is a plus side, in that we've been having these challenges every month for the past five months, so please consider entering or voting in them! Believe me, it's very much appreciated.

And the winners are- Can I have a drum roll please?

    ... And the winners are...

1st Place: Stu Suttcliffe for Dragon and Cyclop, with 14 votes!

2nd Place: Stezza for Forbidden Donuts, with 11 votes!

3rd Place: Antara for Movie Night with Secret Neighbors, with 10 votes!

    Honorable Mention: ncamp for Waiting.

I'll let DAZ know about the results.

I will update this post when I know the Honorable Mention.

I wish to thank everybody that took the time away from their busy schedules to submit a wonderful entry, and for taking the time to share their workflow, knowledge, and suggestions in the WIP thread.

I also wish to thank all those that voted. Even if you didn't get the votes in before the cut-off, the feedback is still important! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to make some tough decisions!

Well deserved! Great job Stu, Stezza, Antara, and ncamp.

Everyone else did a great job, but we can only have so many winners. Speaking of which, need to express appreciation to Daz, Ringomontfort, and the other PAs who have sponsored the monthly contests (and Headwax who I think was the original energy behind these).

Stu, you get to pick the setup for the next contest. If you look through last month's contest threads, I think there was a group of posts that included ideas for themes, rules, requirements, etc. You are encouraged to use your own judgment as winner in deciding such things, but you might want to look at some of those ideas if you haven't given it much thought.

Gulp! Set up the next challenge? Not sure I would know where to start...apart from not having so many rules!

Very well done to all the winners, well deserved! And well done EP for running a very smooth and engaging challenge. I will look forward to what you come up with next, Stu. There's lots of people around who can help if it seems a little daunting.
