Question 1:
How do you install Victoria 4.2 into Poser 2014 (Windows version) from the downloaded ZIPs from DAZ?
(BTW, the ZIP's were download via DAZ's DAZ Install Manager and I know I have to manually do things.)
Question 2:
How do you install such products such as Capsces great items like Morphus, Morphia, and Faerime for Poser 2014 use from the downloaded ZIPs from DAZ?
(They, also like Victoria 4 used to be have to be installed into the primary runtime in Poser.)
I've looked through the forums, did a bit of a search, found a few clues, but nothing definitive especially in the way of a FAQ or something.
-----------------
I've been 'out of the loop' for quite awhile but I've just got a new computer system and I'm putting the software things together, gathering stuff from my old system(s), such as my Poser runtimes which are voluminous, especially as they are all sorted and contain stuff that is no longer available anywhere either freebies or storeboughts going back many years.
So I'll be transferring those runtimes over and building up my Poser library(s) that way but the primary DAZ stuff such as Victoria 4 base etc used to that it had to be installed in the Poser directory.
Until I get an answer to my questions, I'm holding off doing all the Poser stuff because once I start, I want to keep at it until it's done just so I have it all in my head and have it organised and working properly.

On a PC, you just need to unzip the files to temporary folder, then go inside the Content folder there. That's where you'll find the Runtime folder, which you can either select and copy, or click and drag it, to the directory where your Poser Runtime is located. If you paste the copied Runtime, or release the Runtime if you dragged it over, then it will merge the new files into your Runtime.
Hope my directions make sense?
What about 'intialising' Victoria 4 (etc)?
Here's a snippet I saved off the other night from (another site I think)....
"Just note that installing manually via zip you need to go to \Runtime\libraries\!DAZ and run the *.bat file to initiate her properly."
BTW, here's also a thread from FEB 2012 that I found adding more info, (which coincidentally you posted in too ;-)):
Issue with Victoria 4.2 installation with Poser Pro 2012

ssgbryan's approach to doing things sounds sensible, especially with making a backup for archival & future re-installing use.
Go to Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ and double-click the .bat file for the figure (e.g. DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat and DzCreateExPFiles-V4V3.bat for Victoria 4). You need to do that every time you add an ExP expansion, as opposed to a morph set that uses the pre-existing Community Channels).
Thanks.
You know I used to wonder about those initialise icons getting put on my desktop by the DAZ installers.
I never bothered to look at what they were doing until now, and I now see that the .bat file calls up an .exe file put in the directory from the installer and creates the necessary ExP files for the figure and so thusly...'initiailizes' it.
Knowing that and everything else from this thread, and what I gleaned from another, I can now see and understand what I have to do.
At least in the future others can know what to do as well from this.
I spent AGES searching through the forums and online trying to figure it all out, getting bits of info here and there but no real answer I could understand in total.
I forget about initializing. Since I've transferred my old runtimes to my new PC, it's been a long time since I had to run those bat files.
