hello, While looking for some "japanese male and female characters i noticed which while we do have a big diversity (michael, lee, victoria, aiko and bla bla bla), we have as asian representation only chineses ones, then why not make some "really japaneses base characters' i really miss both male and female japaneses with more japanese temed stuffs, really most of them are chinese and even most artists or do "chinese or do korean" or other asian type, true "japanese guys or girls are a big lacking, the only japanese thing we have are the "anime like" aiko, and hiro which "are anime style" would be really good to have some "real japaneses guys and girls

something like that:

https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-jk-suit-for-genesis-8-females

ofrcourse again for both male and female, because is really hard to find "japanese peoples in the middle of that too many chineses(not against then) just remember which japan is also a "asian country" and japanese girls at last for me are much more bealtfull than chinese or even korean(which between chinese and korean, korean are the ones which do look more like japaneses than chineses, is not that hard to see difference between a japanese and a chinese person, but is more complicated between japanese and korean(in this case south).

please some love to our gods of anime and manga give us some "non anime/manga" japaneses please.

yeah but would be good to have some "full characters not just morph a new "line character like vic and michael and the others, would be really good to see a niponic full character with his own bundle.

I support Ellessarr's request for more Japanese characters. Some Japanese faces I have seen are heart stoppingly beautiful. However, it can be difficult for Westerners to tell the difference between Japanese, Korean and Chinese facial types unless they are slightly exagerated, which may defeat the objective of making a beautiful character. This is not racist, it is simply lack of experience. Asian people may also find it difficult to distinguish between Nordic and Slavic faces, for example.

Here's my take on what Lee 8 should have looked like, not that barely sansei version Daz came up with. Mine's far from perfect, but at least it looks a little more Japanese to me.

wow very good but i would make the eyes a little more bigger and could be more perfect, japaneses does have big eyes than chineses, also they noise, but as i told is really not that hard to distinguish chineses from japaneses some features are pretty clear like chineses have more "round face" while japaneses are more "long, chineses eyes are small from japaneses and others minor details, also the noise goes to the same, at first look if you never see a asain person then you can get confuse but when you start to see more often you can easy start to notice the difference, specially the womans, i'm still feel which between chinese, korean and japanese, the japanese girls wins pretty easy on that, they look more more youth and her asian details for me at last are more "balanced" than the others 2, for the males is more like if you want a asian which a more manly face then i feel which japanese wins that but if is about size then maybe koreans.

i would really love to see DAZ release 2 Japaneses characters 1 male and 1 female and they bundles, that i would buy pretty fast, a full japanese themed character.

Thanks, Ellessarr, I think you are right about making the eyes bigger on my character. And yes, I can usually tell the difference between Asian faces as easilly as between Caucasians, though with younger faces it can be harder for me, especially between Japanese and Koreans.

Btw, i wonder if there are PAs from Japan on DAZ? I know Poser was very popular there moslty in V3/A3/M3 era, but nowodays DAZ/Poser is very niche there, and i don't really see an active scene there (i can't know for sure, of course, especially where people went after closing of artistside site) aside from freebies creators and some pixiv artists.

Do you know what 3D software is more popular in Japan, if not Poser or DS? (I'm all for competition)

You talk 3D in general (which means talking more about Blender and such instead) or something close to DS/Poser niche?

Btw when i was looking for DS/Poser products on boothpm, i noticed many products for something called VRChat.

I don't know what it is (some virtual reality space or game like Second Life?), but some people discussed it here

For those who are still using G2F (or who is willing to convert from it), might take a look at characters by JBrothers (btw, @Elianeck might remember them :) ). This vendor seems to abandoned 3D after IRL problems (or so i heard), but characters are still available (not here, though).

    Yukimi:

    Saki:

    Rika:

    Ai:

There were more as WIP, but they never released them, and supposedly they are lost after earthquake

    Hi akmerlow,

Following on from your comment  "I know Poser was very popular there [Japan] moslty in V3/A3/M3 era, but nowodays DAZ/Poser is very niche there, and i don't really see an active scene there...", my question refers to software for posing and rendering characters. We are familiar with Poser and DAZ Studio, but I was wondering if other software like this (doing the same kind of job) was popular in Japan.

I'm not the right person to ask, sadly. My judgement of lesser popularity over there is based on what i see in web - how they had many many sites and forums or blogs dedicated to Poser/Daz in 00s, and how most of them are dead now, and how vendors from there arent active at Rendo as they were before, etc etc.  I'm sorry if i'm delusional.
