Genesis 8 body morphs- Manual Download?

So, I downloaded the Genesis 8 female body morphs and I want to install them manually- Daz3d's file structure has always confused me and I thought I'd try understanding it if I'm to download third party content. I'm on a Mac, I've got Daz 4.10.

Trouble is, I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I've attached a screencap of the folder and its related subfolders of the unzipped Gen8 Morphs download. In the simplest of terms, how do I get these morphs to install correctly and show up in the shaping tab on a Gen8 female? Where do I drop all the .dsf files? I made sure that the required starter essentials are installed.

First, I would highly recommend you install with DIM for ease. But if you insist on manual, then what I do on Mac is unzip and open the folder in a finder window. The structure is there so you just open a second finder window and go to your Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Library folder. In this case, you're looking for your data and Runtime folders. Drill down to the same target folders.

  • So, what ended up working is that the body morphs went into the correct morphs folder within MacintoshHD>Users>Shared>My Daz 3d Library, etc. rather than the seemingly same filepath in the Documents folder.

That's because the path I gave you is the correct path. The Documents one holds other libraries. I don't recall there is a My DAZ 3D Library folder there. One way to find where to go is within studio, go to your content tab and right click on the My DAZ 3D Library and select browse to folder location.
