How to fix the cursor disappearing?

For some reason the cursor disappearing happens often as I'm working in Daz and I have to save then reload. I'd like to just get my cursor back, but don't know how. Thank you.

Quite possibly it's just your systems is a bit taxed. Daz is quite system demanding. Are you waiting for minutes or it just never comes back?  Might be video driver related too.  Just tossing out ideas to investigate.  Happens to me too at times in other apps that are graphics intensive. It comes back when system is able to take on another task.

The random cursor disappearing trick in DS happens to me too from time to time. In my system at least I am certain it is not due to DS over taxing the system, which is very beefy. Video drivers are also kept up to date. I have no idea what the problem is but I guess if it was easy to find then DAZ3d would have found it by now because this has been going on for a long time over many versions of DS.

I was able to replicate this bug by clicking both mouse buttons on the zoom dolly, and then dragging.
Not sure if this helps but it's definitely a bug on the application itself and not some system taxing issue.

I know for certain it happens 100 percent of the time for me.

P.S. You can only replicate the bug this way in the Public build, I just tried it in 4.10 and it's fixed. If you're using public build like I am my heart goes out to you, it's pretty buggy at the moment.

I was having this very same issue. Fortunately, I was able to track the cursor location by watching when rollovers were done. I was advised to "Click in the viewport selection rectangle" . I followed this instruction and it worked like a charm!

Beats me. What's a Public build"? I'm using the v.4.10.0.107 Pro 64 bit. jobbie.  I've been using this DAZ thingie since around 2000 and never spent one red cent for my of the components and such.

Yea public build is the beta (4.11) you have the stable version (4.10). I'd use that if I could but I own an RTX 2070 which isn't supported on that build.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "viewport selection rectangle". Is this a large area? If you can't see the cursor, how are you supposed to know when you are clicking in the "viewport selection area"?

Whenever the cursor moves over a roll  over area, the script will change the appearance of that area's icon.  I look for when the cursor rolls over an icon in the tool bar at the top of the screen. From there I can nudge the cursor left or right until it's above the current camera's name (blue arrow). Then I move the cursor onto the camera's name. At that point, the box will be hilited. Finally I nudge the cursor over the small flippy triangle (red arrow) which forces a drop down and then the cursor will reappear.

WOW did I mess that up royally. Not only did I not attach the correct pic the first time, but I completely reproduced my first post and didn't attach a correct pic. Here's the correct attachment. I sure hope a moderator can sort thid out so that it's intelligible.

@Desperado Thanks, I see what you mean. Next time the cursor goes AWOL, I'll give that a try.
