Poser crashes when trying to load Genesis 2 genitalia
Took a few days to finally sort out the whole DSON importer thing, but I got there. Michael 6 loads in nicely into Poser Pro 2012 on my Mac Pro running Mountain Leopard. But every time I try to load the G2G - poof! Poser crashes. Whether with M6 or by itself, G2G just crashes Poser.
Anyone else dealing with this? Solutions?

I have the same troubles. M6 loads but M6 genitalia crashes poser.
I also use Poser 2012 on iMAC, 64bit, 32Gb RAM.
Please help!
I'm having the same issue with the Genesis 2 male figure. I'm working with Poser 2012, on a Mac running 10.7.4.

I installed Poser 10 on a windows 7 system. M6 and Gens are working fine.
I saved the figure with gens as a character in tried to open it on the iMac (Poser 2014) (Both systems are working with the same runtime)
Poser 2014 was looking for "Michael 6 Gen.obj" There is no such file on my system; neither on mac or win.
After telling poser, not to search for this file, poser crashed down.
Did you have the content installed on the Mac as well?
Yes. I'am using a external runtime. Poser win and poser mac are working with the same runtime.
And is that your only Runtime? If you go to Scripts>DSON Support>Importer preferences is the folder listed under Writable Runtime Folder one that is available to the Mac?
No, i have many runtimes, but one with all my genesis stuff in it.
Yes, the runtime shown in the preferences tab from the importer is available on my mac (but it's not the runtime with the genesis stuff)

Given that it appears to crash when writing the character file (the CR2) it does look like some kind of access or permission error. Do you/Poser have write access to /Users/Christoph/Poser 2014/Poser Pro 2014 Content/Runtime/DSON/auto_adapted ?
Yes, read and write access to the whole Poser 2014 folder an subdirectories.

What is the formatting format of that common directory? NTFS?
Mac OS X does not have a driver for writing NTFS built in, only reading it, that might be the problem. Can you write to that Runtime from Mac OS X at all? Is it a NAS storage, sometimes the do behave funny when applications are writing to them as well.
Just some thoughts...
I use parallels for my virtual windows 7 machine. All external runtimes are located on my macintosh HD.
OK, was a wild shot. Next guess is a bug in Poser Mac or in DSON for Poser, or both. Can be something as simple as a Python bug or something behaving a little different between platforms.

This part was interesting:
I think you should open a bug-case on this posting the crashlog as this points to exactly where the DSON script crashes. Might be a platform specific bug.
