Does this work? I'm a little confused on cross figure fitting, especially in Poser. I've lost some traction since Genesis appeared.

I'm not sure how it works in poser, but in Daz you can fit Genesis stuff to Genesis 2.

Or at least to G2F ... might have to then move it over to G2M. Have noticed some more products becoming available to enable the process.

In the meantime thought you might be interested in this as it's only a dollar atm and there's the clothing set for each figure!

Poser Pro 2014 has the fitting room which will allow you to fit clothing to any figure. It has a bit of a learning curve. Poser 8 and up all come with Wardrobe Wizard included. It comes with support for the Poser included content. PhilC sells add ons over at his site PhilC.net for all of the DAZ figures up through and including Genesis.

Poser does not have autofit. If you have the DSON importer, Genesis Starter Essentials and it's Poser Companion Files installed to the same runtime. Make sure Poser's library is pointing at the runtime. You can load Genesis base, dial up the morphs, load the clothing and conform and then use the script in the DSON importer apply active morphs. This will apply the active morphs (those you have dialed) to the clothing. Once you apply this script, you may see a slow down in Poser or even end up with the library locking up on you. Applying active morphs does take time. Especially if you are apply a large number of morphs or using many conformers so you may need to wait. You will know if the library is locked up if after a lengthy wait, you click on some part of the Poser library and nothing happens. At that point, you may need to exit Poser and start all over again.

Some users have few problems with DSON, some have many. Like many Poser issues over the years, there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason.

Which version of Poser are you using?

    Thanks, everyone, for answering!

I'm in the current version, Poser Pro 2014, so I should be okay to try the fitting tool. I haven't used it yet but I know there are some tutorials out there. Just have to put my head down and get to work. I was a bit disappointed in Genesis for human figures so I just went back to V4/M4. The Genesis2 figures look much better so I waited for a good sale to get them (well the female side so far). And looking thru the sale, I spotted a lot of great clothing for Genesis and just wondered how hard it was to fit them.

Yes, G1 autofit to both G2 figures very smoothly.

Patience, I just checked that link, and although I like that set, it's on sale for $9.99...where do you see it only $1.00?

You have to be a PC member to get it at that price.

It's a PC item, normally $1.99, but probably 50% off for black November?

Only in DS. Poser does not have autofit. Cothing designed for Genesis will work on Genesis and Genesis based morphs via the apply active morph script in the DSON importer.

Nor does Poser have auto follow which is pretty much what allows for the refit of Genesis outfits to Genesis 2. From what few experiments I have done, apply active morphs will attempt to apply them but most of the results haven't been good.

oops ... I keep forgetting that part. One day sale yesterday, otherwise it's still only $1.99 for PC members.
btw - for starting out at least, the PC club membership pays for itself almost immediately as there are so many items with drastically reduced prices for PC members. And there are the monthly freebies too as well as a quasi-coupon good towards a DO item ... end of PC plug ;-)

With autofit, most of the genesis stuff transfers well to genesis 2, but not perfectly. For instance, I put the Supersuit on Genesis 2 females and got some pokethrough in places.
