Grey zone around the lips in close-up?

I nothiced sometimes in close-ups grey zones appear around the lips and there is nothing like this in the face texture. For the female faces it is easy - usually re-applying a lipstick is enough, but for the male models is it extremely annoyng.

Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how to evade/rectify it?

Edit: It seems it happens when the face shaders are modified but the lips surface shaders remain  the old

Where two material zones meet is called a seam. It's pretty obvious there are seams between zones that are on separate textures, like arms, legs and torso, etc., but there is also a seam between the face, ears and lips. If you make changes to one material zone, the seams between it and the other zones become more noticable. As you've seen with the face and lips when you change one, but not the other. If you look closer, I'm sure you will see the seam between the face and ears, too.

What I usually do is copy the parameters from the face and paste onto the lips and then re-apply the jpg's where they have been changed.
