Anilip 2, how do I make a word end in a question mark?

Greetings,

I am using Anilip 2 successfully, so far, but want to make the last word go up in tone for a question mark: "are you happy?"

Is this possible?

Thanks!  Gordon

    Which voice do you use? There should be a difference in pronounciation between 'Did you hear that' and 'Did you hear that?'

    Otherweise try the SSML 'prosody' element.

    <speak version="1.0" xmlns="https://www.w3.org/2001/10/synthesis";
     xml:lang="en-US">
        <s>
        Did you hear <prosody pitch="x-high">that</prosody>?.
        </s>
    </speak>

    You can do much more with 'prosody' and find more infos here.

    Best Regards

    Dobit

    yes  Thank you Dobit, you were right about the voices.

    OK: (ascend at the end)
    United States TTS Engine:
    Ivona 2 Ivy OEM US Female
    Ivona 2 Salli OEM US Female

    Not OK:
    United States TTS Engine:
    Microsoft David
    Microsoft Zira
    Cepstral Robin - over 5 years old?
    Cepstral Amy  - over 5 years old?

    Prosody looks like learning a foriegn language. Do you think it would work on the old Cepstral voices?

    I will look into more of the OEM Voices, are there other companies that might work?

    Great software, once you get past the wrapping. smiley

    We get the pitch ascend for David and Zira as well. You use WIndows 10?

    Dont't know about Cepstral. We tested their demo and it seems to ignore the question mark. But may be the SAPI versions work better.

    Amazon Polly voices work quite well with punctuations as ? or even !,.
