The barn is in 'Content Library' -> 'My Library' -> 'Props' -> 'DAZ Farm'. Not sure where it would be under smart content as I don't tend to use that.

Odd. I did a manual install and that's where my barn ended up (see image). Try downloading/installing again? Maybe try a manual install.

If DIM is still using the defaults it will be in C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\My DAZ 3D Library - which isn't in your list of folders under DAZ Studio Formats.

You only have My Library listed in the Content Directory Manager, you need the new library folder as well.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and Add My DAZ 3D Library to DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats.

The alternative, is to uninstall the Barn (and anything else that you installed into My DAZ 3D Library), change the DIM to install to My Library instead, then reinstall again.

Well. I have done what you have written and downloaded the g2male and g2female stuff and that is the result (image)

I will now all uninstall what I have downloaded with DIM (works not) and then I will do nothing. I will not buy any stuff for genesis, gensis 2 or whatever else. I have enough. If this company is not able to create programms that cooperate from the start on, I am not able to spend money. One programm searches in this library the other installs stuff in another library or elsewhere, who knows where. NO, I have no nerve to correct things.

It seems that the sentence: The content may not work as expected is DAZ`s new slogan.

Where did you install the G2 content into?

If you go to the DIM, Installed tab, find the Genesis items that you have installed, right click, then select Show Installed Files, it will tell you what has been installed, and where to.

As previously stated, the DIM installs by default into C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library - you MUST have that path listed in the Content Directory Manager before DAZ Studio can see it.

Can you please post a screenshot of your Content Directory Manager showing the DAZ Studio Formats and the Poser Formats expanded, there is obviously something wrong with the entries here? Once that is sorted, there will be no more problems, but I need to see that.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager and post the screenshot please.

If you have entered new libraries in DAZ Studio, you usually either have to refresh the Content Library by right-clicking on DAZ Studio Formats and selecting 'Refresh', or by exiting DS and restarting.

I am glad it all worked out for you, we are always here if you need help.

TIP: Never install with DAZ Studio Open and Running, the Content files will show but the DATA has not been read. The Data is only read at OPEN of DAZ Studio or A forced Refresh of the Program. Also Installing content with DAZ Studio Open has been known to cause write Errors in the CMS Database. That will force the Need to Reset the Database and Read Metadata a second time to repair the Database.
