3Dlight : shader only appear in render?

I'm trying to apply shaders on surfaces, and the surfaces just turns grey, the shader only appearing when I render the scene. I have this problem with several shaders, and I don't remember having it before. Is that normal? How can it be fixed if not?

ETA : After checking, I have this problem with two sets of shaders :

-Vintage tiles and carper shaders

-Furify

And while I was testing 3Dlight shaders, I also realized a second, different, problem : I have no clue how to use the utility in this product : https://www.daz3d.com/tiles-aplenty-vol-iv that is supposed to turn Iray shaders into 3Dlight shaders.

The preview of a shader pulls values from specific surface parameters. For instance, in 3Delight, it's looking for the Diffuse channel. If a shader renames that field, then the preview won't show it properly. The same thing can happen with tiling of a texture as the preview may not understand from the parameter names how to display it. It's fairly normal for 3Delight users to be used to the idea that you may have to render to see if the settings are correct. That's also why I've seen more 3Delight users taking advantage of the Spot Render tool.

Thank you both. In fact, I recently completely forgot about the spot render (despite being recently reminded of it).
