questions on ds4.6 pro 64bit perspective view vs. camera view

Hello,

I work with ds4.6 pro 64bit since two or so days and I mostly use my character Dixie for renders with people (Dixie is v4.2 cr2 version turned into subD value 1 + smoothing modifier standard values)

if I move the viewpoint around the figure I it seems that with perspective view my machine gets a bit slower then in ds4.5 and with camera view it is fast as in ds4.5. Can that be?

It sounds unlikely, though if the two are zoomed differently (different focal lengths) one may seem to move around the scene more rapidly.

    ...smoothing can slow response down.

I also discovered that if it is on and I am using the Fabricator (especially Silkessence) it can cause the application to freeze with a Windows "Not Responding" message.

I turn the smoothing off until I am ready to render.

well the model is the only thing in the scene, but I have reduced the values of the smoothing modifier and now it is okay (it was low but now I am at smoothing iterations 2 and weight at 0.2 and secondary weight -0.2) that is enough for me :).

what means lock distance and length incluence?

If your Smoothing works as needed in the Render but slows down your ViewPort you can Toggle the Smoothing ON and OFF as Needed. Off to position your Camera then Back on again. Or OFF until ready to Render and then ON only for Render. It is very useful and easy once you start doing it for heavy scene files.
