Animation question: how to add a final pose on time line with aniblocks walk baked into timeline?
Hi all,
So been trying animation a little. Seems like the time for it.
So watched most of the videos from Daz and a bit of the others.
What did i do already:
- Added model, clothing ect ect
- added the SKA motion Flat foot walk: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-s-flat-foot-walk-aniblock
- Baked the animation in to the timeline (other wise posing on time line would not be possible when doing aniblocks)
Now im at the point where i want to add the final pose seemlessly to the walk.
SO here is is the issue im having.
When at then end of the walk, added a extra key frame and from there i wanted to add the pose over servral key frames.... like 6 or 8 (don't know if thats a good frame ratio to have the poses animation build oup with a natural look, so if some one has a better proposal please let me know)
But when i add the pose...the pose moves back to the start position of the walk, so thats not seemless at all LOL
But i know the pose can be setup (not only the pose, i need to move the hands a little too as they interfear with clothing) and turned in to an aniblock, and then it would be possible to add the aniblock to the end of the walk and it would seemlessly move in to place.
Question is how do i go about that.... can anyone give me a step by step process maybe pls?
Also when making an any block from the time line, it asks a few stuff (pls see attached file)
Im guessing the i can't realy do this all with the previous already baked animations, so i have some saved files:
- I have a save file without aniblocks, stating point.
- Save file with walk aniblocks NOT baked on the time line
- and a save file with walk aniblocks baked ON to the timeline
Thanks in advance for helping out.
PS. I Have, Animate2 & Keymate (licenced Version)

Hold down cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win) when applying the final pose and deselect teh Hip trasnlations in the dialogue that opens.
Hold down the modifier key while you double-click the pose prset and a dialogue box should open, in which you can choose which bones are affected by the pose.
ahaaaaaaaaaaaa perfect thanks.
sooo after you've bakes the aniblocks on to the time line... add a few frames, i made 12 frames now to transition in to the pose. so on the frame where you want to pose to be completed hold CTRL (win) / CMD (mac) and double click on the pose you want.
The a dialog box apears, in this case i only had to deslect the Z axis and hit accept.
BAM!
Thanks Richard

can you explain to me if I'm on the end of an animation and I want to add a second animation, let's say a part 2, and this animation is also moving forward and or backward (not standing still) how can I then add the second animation into the scene without having the figure going back to its original start position?
Here is what I tried already:
CTRL + adding pose and like removing Z Axis is fine for having the figure in the same spot but the Animation itself gets all weird after you play it so that's not going to work in this case.
I've tried making the animation into aniblocks and part 2 of the animation the same, but then the animation comes out all wobbly not at all the same as in the original (no aniblock) animation.
When I then go into the aniblock and by double-clicking it and the go in the graph editor and remove the red line of the x pose axis its come out better but still not the same as the original.
So where aniblock might have saved the issue of having 2 animations at the same point / allignes at the end of the first animation and start of the second animation, turning it into aniblock isn't really an option.
alternatively:
i can make multi animation save files, each having there own part and change the camera angle a little so that it looks like its switches to another camera. (but this isn't really my aim)
Assumng that the pose is offsetting the figure using the hip, I think it may work to try moving the whole figure to the end position using the figure node, zero the hip translations (all using Conect key frames) and then apply the next batch of aniam, ted pose - repeat, adding the hip translations to the figure, as needed.
