I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but for the life of me I can't find it in the forum. So I'm trying to put the Urban Wear for M4 jacket on M6 and it's not working. I know Genesis clothes get autofitted to M6, but what about M4's stuff..?
Thanks!
M.

You need these:

To put Gen 4 clothing on Genesis 2 figures you need the relevant auto-fit clone, which can be obtained from the store: G2F and G2M
For Direct Autofit you need the Clones, but this also works, G2F and G2M can wear all Genesis clothing. So if you AutoFit M4 or V4 clothing to Genesis and then SAVE those out as a NEW Genesis .duf file type the G2F and G2M can Autofit those from the Genesis clone that is default in the G2 figures. It is not as GOOD as using the Clones but doable.
Thanks everyone.
But just so I'm clear: in order to fit M4 clothes to M6, you have to change M6's body shape to M4's (unless I use the method Jaderail mentioned)?
No, not at all, you just have to have the M4 clone and select "Michael 4" from the dropdown when Autofit starts.
Ohhhhh, Yes, now it makes sense. Michael 4 is not an option for autofit anymore, but if I buy the Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male product, it becomes an option.
Exactly! I guess Jaderail's method would be needed for Generation 3 items, though.
Exactly! I guess Jaderail's method would be needed for Generation 3 items, though. Then you would need the Gen3 clone shapes for Genesis 1. My method needs nothing as M4 and V4 clothing Autofit Genesis from the start and G2F and G2M will AutoFit Genesis clothing without buying anything also. So from M4 V4 to Genesis 1 is Free Autofit, Save the items out as Genesis 1 items, Load the Genesis 1 items to G2F and G2M is also Free from the built in Genesis Auto fit. Nothing needs bought at all. Except the M4 V4 clothing.
Both methods have their good points. I'm generally drawn to the fastest way to get from point A to point B, so I bought "Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male," and my character is now dressed for the weather in his new jacket! ;-)
Thanks again, everyone.

Sigh. I needed a jacket this past week, not used to wearing one! But now I am back in my subtropical habitat, so I am happy again. :-)
A thank you to Melissa for asking this question and to all who answered because it was very timely for me too. I am still deciding whether or not to get the clones or go the X4--->X5--->save-as-.duf method.
Odd, I see that the Michael converter is on sale but the Victoria one is not...
You don't need to save as DUF. Just bring Genesis 1 into the scene, if you have the Michael 4 clone for Genesis 1 just autofit your M4 clothes to Genesis 1 first, then the next step will be to fit the clothes a second time now to Genesis 2 Michael 6 in the same scene. The clothes will just jump from Genesis 1 to Genesis 2 and autofit when you select From Genesis to Michael 6 in the "Fit to" dialogue. Same thing with V4 to V6.
This is a "poor man's way" lol, of course using “Michael 4 for Genesis 2 Male” or the V4 to V6 product would be the best way to do it.
