Working online/offline - help!

Hi all, my internet was off today and my DS refused to see my items as downloaded. So I went to the "Connect" menu, but Work Offline was blacked out and could not be clicked. What is this dastardly deed? Why can I only work in DS when I am online? Or is there another way? Thanks! :D

    Work Offline was greyed out because you were working off line - if you were connected it would be enabled to allow you to log off. Unless the connection issue was related to something like your security software blocking access then being on or offline shouldn't have any effect on installed content.

    Hi Richard, but none of my content was available to me. I get that Work Offline was because I WAS offline (lolol!) - thanks, I was so stressed yesterday that hadn't occurred to me - but why would that stop DSD seeing my content? It's never happened when I'm online... and this morning it's working fine. Strange! Oh well, I am just glad it's back! lol! Thanks! :)

    I guess that something, like an update to your security software, was stopping DS from communicating both with the Daz site over the Internet and with the local database (which is where it gets the content state from, at least if you use Smart Content or the presets tabs in property panes like Surfaces and Shaping).
