Any way to make the Denoiser less strong? Messes up hair.

I've been testing the new Denoiser and comparing various results with traditional renders. I love how it makes it easier to see fast impressions of the final result in pre-renders and early renders.

But I've noticed it's also a bit too heavy on the denoising; it's literally wiping away proper detailed hair, skin and other small textures it shouldn't, even when you let it run for a long long time. It washes out a lot of what makes their textures realistic. I don't mind a little bit of a trade off, but this current form goes a bit too far.

So question is: is there any way to turn down the effect of Denoiser? Like; it would be perfectly usable if I could set it at like 50% of what it's doing now, or that it automatically become gradually less active during long renders or something like that.

You could alwayss top the render and use File>Save Last Render, then turn denoiser Enable button off (not teh deNoiser Available, that would restart the render), resume the render, and save that after a bit. Then you could mix the two in your image editor.

Thanks, I'll be using that as a temporary solution. Would love it if a proper partial deNoise came available in the future, saves some time.
