Now that 4.11 is released it's the only version you can download, so unless you kept a backup of the 4.10 installer you can't downgrade yourself.

You can try to open a support ticket and see if Daz support can provide you with a copy of 4.10.

Looks like it's indeed an installer for a 4.10 version. (I've not tried to use it) . So yes, you'd uninstall 4.11 with DIM and use the exe to do a manual install.

maybe not for d/l, but if you look, Daz 4.11 installed to a completely different location.  I.E. 4.10 is still there.  They simply point to the same content folder.

There's a new DIM as well.

Wait what? 4.11 doesn't replace the old build?

Maybe, if you tell us what problems you're having with 4.11, we'll be able to help solve them?

Alla my renders are suddenly pitch black. Doesn't matter if I use an old scene (that worked in 4.10) or create a new one.

Update your graphics card driver. 4.11 requires a newish driver.

I had several problems that I fixed but I have the impression that the light is managed differently, I have a character who on version 4.10 had the transluency on 1, on version 4.11 I had to lower it to 0.7 to have about the same effect, maybe I did a bad manipulation, but in the end I have different images between the two versions....

Sorry if I'm not very clear but I use a translator;)

You're right. It was obsolete drivers that caused the problems. Strange thing is when I tried to update the drivers from the Control Panel it said I already have the latest drivers. Then I tested to download the drivers directly from NVIDIA and it turned out there was newer drivers.

Anyway, now thing work as they should.

Only Daz is a legitimate source of downloads for Daz Studio so I have removed the link to that "legal" site.

Only if one is Public Build (beta) and one General release - any given release channel will use the same path (unless you use and chnage the stand-alone installer for the General Release, but that is not recommended as it can cause issues and conflicts)

I did nothing special as I assumed as everyone else that it would replace 4.10.  I've 4.10 under D:\Daz3d, but the new version, which appeared in DIM, installed to D:\Program Files\DAZ 3D.  I changed no paths in DIM.

If Daz provided the requested download then you wouldn't have people looking for alternatives, would you? Your policy is making people search elsewhere. If you don't want people to look for it elsewhere, provide a way for your customers to roll back. There are a lot of legitimate reasons why people want to and even need to have access to legacy versions. If not all plugins are updated to the new version, that is a big problem for those who depend on them. Future versions of Iray may stop working on on older GPUs (like Fermi has), effectively breaking Daz for those customers. I read about problems with Kepler GPUs.

Is that not reason enough to provide 4.10 as a download? How many people begging for help does it take? Are you willing to risk losing some customers over this policy?

4.11 Release replaced the 4.10 installation for me. Same as always.

FWIW, I did not need to change content paths, layouts, script menu or anything. A seamless transition.

You need to address that to Daz, not the forum team.

The Beta version of 4.11, which is the same version as the full version just released, was in my DIM. I already had the Beta version installed beside 4.10 so I installed that and it replaced the old beta with the new one and left 4.10 alone. I have them both running side by side as we speak :)

I to would like to have a copy of the last 4.10 installer too. Somewho the one I have has gotten corrupted and won't unpack the CMS files. If I hit ignore. Is start ti install up to thhe CMS part and just hangs......and won't finish. I was hoping that I could just run the CMS installer afterward to take care of that....

As far as why I am going back to 4.11.......

    To many issues.....

    but to list a few...

    Geoshell render black.

Load V7 and it just genesis female base

Same thing with Tween Julie 7

    Bethany 7

    Eva 7

Funny thing is...when you look in the paramiters tab under 'currently used" you can see all the sliders set at 100% for each above figures.....but still shaped like the Genesis3Female base....

With Tween Julie....the hieght is right....but shaped like Genesis3Female Base

    So...something is totally messed up!

And from what I've been hearing/reading here, Da, and other art sites.....LOTS of people are having issue with this build!

Have you tried updating the Genesis 3 starter essentials plus the base shapes you are having issues with?
