Genesis 2 clothing on G8?

I know this has probably been asked before, but can Genesis 2 clothing be applied to Genesis 8 Figures? 

Genesis 3 clothing works on G8 for the most part, just would be nice to pick up a couple G2 wardrobe items too for my G8 figures.

They can be fit to G8 just like G3. The same caveats apply in that the automatic conversion process destroys the items bones making posing it impossible.

There is also a conversion script that will convert most G2 garments to G8 leaving the bones intact but it has a cost.

Thanks Ken! I purchased a G2 clothing item just now and it worked just fine, even followed the G8 figure in the pose too. 

Is it just that the G3 and G2 clothes may not always fit perfectly or follow the G8 actor in the pose as well as G8 clothes do?

To be honest, some of the legacy clothes fit and pose better then many of the G8 wardrobe items. So maybe it also depends on the artist creating the product as to the fit?

Mostly conforming clothes will work on any supported figure. What doesn't work with autofit is things like long dresses that need to be posed manually for many positions. The base clothing item, assuming it is properly made, has bones that allow the skirt, or whatever, to be posed like any other item with bones, but when you fit it to another generation figure using autofit the bones are removed so posing it won't be possible.
