Moving work load

Hi all, I am just wondering. Is there a way to get the rendering workload to use something else besides the GPU? I mean can it be diverted to the CPU or even the ram? I'm already up to a 4GB nvidia card (thank goodness it was on sale), but I have reached my limit I can afford for a video card :/

The Advanced tab of Render Settings allows you to pick devices.

You should be aware that Iray is very specifically made to run on Nvidia graphics cards. Switching to CPU will result in much much longer render times.

If you run out of GPU VRAM, Iray will automatically switch to CPU
