Has anyone used this subsurface base and add on shaders (Gummy and plastic, and the toolbox) in Reality 2.5? How do they look in it?

Thank you for your help.

They' don't work in Reality at this point in time (2.5 does not support subsurface).

Reality 3 for DAZ Studio is currently being worked on as far as I know, and it will have SSS functionality... no idea how the settings will work yet, so no guarantee that AoA's SSS will work with it at all, as they're designed for 3Delight.

Subsurface scatter in Luxrender is done using volumes, which Reality 2.5 doesn't support aside from its own fog prop. Luxus does fully support volumes, but doesn't seem to automatically convert the AoA subsurface materials with SSS in mind, so a little manual work will be necessary to get them looking right.

Results will naturally vary depending on the settings you use, but because Luxrender uses real world calculations, when you get them right it can be as close to a photograph as you can get.

Thank you everyone for the speedy replies. These were all helpful. I didn't think Reality took them. I will hold off buying the AoA shaders then. Thank you again.

The AoA subsurface shaders can not and never will work in Reality or Luxus for that matter. The only thing one can hope for is that at some point Reality and Luxus will be able to pick up the AoA shaders and interpret them correctly as a base for their own shader settings. But since they don't work all that well on DAZ Default Shaders or UberSurface, I wouldn't hold my breath for that. Just like now, you'll always have to edit most of your surfaces by hand.

I am a reality user but will go back to 3DL if I need to use a DS only shader
